Why do some people gain weight after they stop taking diet pills?

Does the diet pill mess up the metabolism, or is it because people are use to eating less when taking the pill, and when they get off of it they start eating more?

    they go back to their old eating habits…or just dont change anything other than their taking those diet pills…all they are is a good way to started

    Some diet pills artifically speed up your metabolisim, and your body crashes back down after you stop. And because they supporess your desire to eat, when the suppression stops, you return to the eating pattern you had prior…

    So the weight comes back on from 2 directions- a slower metabolisim, as wella s an increase in calories.

    Lose weight, Lose Fat

    Taking a pill to help you lose weight is not a good idea. Your body becomes dependent upon the pill for it’s decisions of whether or not you are hungry. Most diet pills have appetite suppressants and metabolic inhancers. That’s fine but when you stop taking them you personally have not changed. The best way to lose wieght is to change your life style. You need to burn more than you eat it is as simple as that. A person who sits in achair all day can lose weight simply by exercising once a day for half and hour such as stair climbing or walking vigorously. Plus reducing their in take of calories by a third of what they normally intake. YOu would be amazed how steadily you will lose wait. The biggest place people have aproblem with is they eat too late in the day. Have a cut off time for eating and stick to it. Also did you know that most people eat when they are really thirsty. Try drinking a glass of water before you eat anything. You will be amazed at how you decide not to eat what you were heading for.

    Because they get their appetite back. Using diet pills to lose weight is unnatural and does not produce long term results. HTH : )
