I’ve heard that eating most of your calories in the morning is a good way to curb eating habits throughout the day and rev up your metabolism for the day. Try eating a generous helping of a good cereal with lots of protein or maybe an egg white omelet with ham and a low fat cheese and a drink like orange juice. Then for lunch have a ham sandwich with low fat cheese on whole grain bread and water. Have a water with lunch, with your snack, with dinner, and try to get on in the morning, and you’ll be getting the recommended amount. If you eat most of your calories in the morning, then you can divide the rest out throughout the day depending on what you want for dinner. Snacks should be fruit or veggies. Don’t be afraid to have a small desert, either, because the more you feel deprived, the less likely this diet is going to last. Also, sudden death for a calorie-based diet is trying to count it down to the very number. If you go 200 calories over, don’t panic, just ride your bike for half an hour and you’ll be fine.
Sorry this is long and answers a bit more than what you asked, but diets normally don’t work, so just try to make healthier choices.

if youre trying to lose weight this diet wont help for the long term by any means. plus it doesnt matter how many calories you have if you dont burn them off. counting calories is also scientifically proven to put a block on your mind to prevent your body from losing weight (if that is your intended goal).
if you’re trying to lose weight i recommend 300-600 calories for lunch, and eat 8 small snacks and 3 small meals a day.
if youre not trying to lose weight..go for about 450.

Calories is a big subject when it comes to weight loss. We need to learn 3 things: the amount of calories in our food, the amount of calories a certain activity burns each hour, and last but not least our own personal daily limit of calories. The only thing that definitely worked for me was wu-yi tea, it can be viewed in the resource box underneath, they have a small number of free trials left, it was featured in Reader’s Digest and CNN. I shed thrity pounds, it definitely does work!

Negative Calorie Foods

The phrase, "negative calorie food", as highlighted in negative calorie diet programs and books, usually refers to foods that allegedly require more energy to digest than they contain. Since the process of digestion requires the use of calories for energy, sometimes the net amount of metabolizable energy available from a food is less than the gross number of calories contained in the food.
