The most simple and effective diet around is to LOWER on carb-high foods such as pastas and potatoes. Do not starve yourself because this never works, and sometimes you will end up even bigger than you were before.
If you are willing to take up a sport, 30mins of exercise a day is brilliant for helping you lose weight, and be healthy in general.
My dad used this, and he now has a brilliant figure.

stick to fruits, veggies, cut out red meat…i substitute turkey/chicken breast for everything. also, oatmeal is great…i have it every morning with a few walnuts and blueberries (both super foods).

cut out refined sugar and obvious fats (such as mayo, salad dressing, butter, oil, etc.). don’t be fooled by low fat products. many are extremely high in sugar and higher in calories than the regular full fat product!
for snacking and treats, i have a small handful of baked chips or those yummy mini rice cakes…but always fruit and veggies!!!
and the absolute MOST IMPORTANT THING…is drink lots of WATER. i swear it is the answer to weight loss, and how simple is that! drink a glass when you wake up, and then another before every snack and meal. it is so important for a healthy body anyway, but it really curbs your appetite!
don’t forget to exercise, too. my new fav is the biggest loser yoga dvd…is it fun, low impact, non-intimidating, can be done without leaving the house (which in WA state is important…hello rain), and the results are amazing.
and don’t beat yourself up if you splurge…just start again tomorrow! but remember how important your body is and try to take care of it!!!

Erm, I watched this thing on Superskinny vs. Supersized and this woman had like an abdominal massage or something..? anyway she lost like 3 inches from her stomach, but I can’t remember if she lost any weight..

Honestly it is very hard for anyone to tell you what your body needs. One thing I can offer is drinking water. If you drank 8 glasses a day, by the end of one week you could lose 10 lbs. People gain weight not only by eating but also drinking the wrong things, water is the best way, no calories, no sugar. Dieting will not help lose weight alone. I am a young mother and trying to lose the last 15 lbs of baby weight. After my first son I ate so healthy, chicken, veggies, lots of water and I walked every where. I had no car at the time so it was essential and I went form being a size 10 down to a 3 by the time my son was 1. Exercise is the right way to go!
Try a vegetarian diet. No beef, no pork, no chicken, no fish. Or at least cut back on meat. Eat only fish, turkey and chicken – two or three times a week. Not fried, either. Baked, steamed, broiled or roasted. Egg whites, low-fat cheese, low-fat peanut butter, nuts, seeds, tofu, legumes all have the protein you need in them.
I am a vegetarian, have four kids and am a size 4. People ask me how I got the pregnancy weight off and have kept it off all the time. I don’t eat meat. Haven’t for four years.

I lost about 60lbs over the like 18months by simply cutting soda out of my diet, I might allow myself 1 -3 sodas a MONTH, it was the only real change I made to my life style, now I’ve only got about another 10lbs to go to reach my ideal weight
Very gratifying… and best of all.. after a few weeks I didn’t miss the soda at all, I still get to eat everything I want whenever I want (just got done scarfing down a brownie I made last night, fudge brownie with chocolate chips caramel and chocolate syrup topping with pecans YUM!) I got fat for the most basic of reasons. I love food, and I physically cant do a lot of exercising.. at least not anything that involves leg usage.. sigh.. so I was left with dieting to loose weight… I didn’t want to stay fat.. but didn’t want to give up food.. so I compromised
It’s not a quick fix, but it is a permanent one… I’ve maintained my current weight for like 9 months without a thought to it
i really hope it helps you, I hate to hear of people starving themselves or working themselves half to death to try and lose weight. Most diets don’t work cause they’re hard to stick to, same with exercise regiments, you sort of have to create your own thing, something easy for you, then you have a plan that’ll work, the only “quick fix” to weight that has a prayer of lasting more than 6months is surgery
Yes! Eat whole grains & beans, veggies raw or cooked, fresh fruit, lean meats like chicken and turkey and some low fat dairy. Eat the most from the first items and go down as listed eating the least in dairy. Can’t get any more simple! Munch on healthy food all day instead of eating big meals, Drink water or 100% fruit juice, no soda diet or not and EXERCISE!
the first answer was 100 % right. The first thing is eating right. plan ur meals. Drink lots of water, if u have to have soda or tea make sure its diet, try to cut out or replace sugars. NO junkfood! Eat ur three meals a day add in a healthy snack. It will be really hard at first but ur body will get used to it. And u have to excercise. Cardio! Walk for an hour a day! Get an excercise DVD but u have to do soemthing that will burn fat. Do it all everyday
Read up on low carb. I find it so easy and tasty. Example of my daily diet:
Breakfast: Eggs, Bacon and one piece of sugar-free wheat bread toast & butter.
Lunch: Salad with all the goodies including shredded cheese, and sunflower seeds. I make my own sweet and sour French low carb salad dressing that is great. I also have about 6 or 7 hot chicken wings- no breading.
Dinner: Meat fish or chicken of some kind, a green vegetable, and that large awesome salad I fill with everything.
Low carb means LOW SUGAR you have to READ all the labels. I even buy low sugar Heinz Ketchup. I use my imagination and create excellent dishes. I have maintain my weight for about 5 years on this diet.

Actually, you don’t need to diet per se in order to lose weight, the one thing which clearly showed results for me is green tea, it can be seen in the resource box below, they have a few free trials left, it has been reported in Reader’s Digest and CNN. I melted away twenty five pounds, it clearly does produce results!
Eat a lot of protein, like chicken, grain, like bread ( no rice) vegetables, like broccoli, fruits, like apple. You have to have a balanced meal and good exercise each day to loose all that weight Run and jog 20 – 40 minutes a day will help you with weight lost also.

The best way to lose weight is to eat less fattening food. For example, you can eat fish or tuna instead of chicken and steak. Also eat a lot of fruit, it’s delicious, sweet and doesn’t have too many calories. You should also excercise a little. Maybe ride your bike or go take a walk around the park. You’ll see results in a falsh!

This ALWAYS works for me..
1. Drink 8 waters a day(no soda)
2. 30min. of cardio(treadmill/biking ect.)
3. Eat small healthy snacks every two hours
(Greatly increases your metabolism so when you burn maximum fat and you don’t burn muscle too.)
4. stay away from simple carbs which are bad. You can have some carbs, but pick one and have it be a small portion.

if your really overweight then eat low carb foods and exersize good exersize is to run on a treadmill for an hour a day as fast as you can as you get tired reduce the speed.

Well, heres an idea. Start eating healthy and exercise. Thats as simple as it gets. Its really not hard to loose weight at all. All you have to do is eat right and run on a tredmill or do something!

Well since you mentioned salad, but simple, try chicken salads. Stick with three small meals a day and drink nothing with calories. Drink plenty of water, and take vitamins.

stay off trans fats like fried foods & junk food. pastries. what taste really good is usually not good for yu.
just cut off portions when you eat and eat slower. dont drink sodas or too much water during meals because it refreshed your mouth causing you to want to eat more.
