If You Are On A 1500 Calorie Diet, Can You Eat Anything You Want As Long As It Doesn’t Go Over 1500 Calories?

I have been on this diet for 3 weeks now, and I don’t see any changes, sometimes I don’t reach 1500 calories, but I have never went over, can anyone give me some advice on this?

    The average female body burns about 2000 calories a day just by being alive with everyday functions (breathing, heartbeat, digestion, etc). A lb of fat is about 3500 calories. By the sounds of your diet you’re cutting 500 off that so you should be losing about a lb every week or so. By now you should have lost at least 3lbs without any type of physical activity whatsoever, which is highly unlikely since you probably walk, climb stairs, cook, etc. If your not seeing any results I wouldn’t recommend cutting more calories, rather i would suggest trying some more physical stuff. If jogging is hard on you start out slow, go out for a brisk walk for about 30 minutes. You’ll be surprised at how much weight you’ll see melt off of you with slightly more activity than your body is used to and the diet your on. Not to mention you’ll have plenty of energy after some nice light exercise. Remember drink about a gallon of water a day. Good luck

    Well, technically I guess you could eat whatever you want within 1500 calories, but you probably won’t see many changes. Eat various fruits and vegetables. Some are low in calories, meaning you could eat more and feel fuller while you still stick within the 1500 calorie range. Eating healthy and exercising at least 3 times a week is your best bet for changing the way your body looks. You may want to also look into foods with a lot of fiber. Fiber expands in your stomach and you’ll feel fuller faster. Plus, dietary fiber is a necessity for a healthy diet. Hope this helps a little.

    It goes over the “food pyramid” guide to healthy eating, but the coolest thing is the “my pyramid tracker” feature where you can enter everything you eat every day (as well as what physical exercise you are doing) and it will tell you in what areas of nutrients and what not you are deficient and where you are overdoing and it makes it very helpful for adjusting your diet.

    Well calories are just one nutrient. Pay attention to protein, often times when you have too many calories but not enough protein, you get a lot of stubborn belly and thigh fat. Also plenty of fiber is ideal, it helps rid the body of fat. Lastly, remember saturated fat is the bad fat, aim for foods that have the healthy fats, poly and mono unsaturated fats.

    All you got to do is simply eat fruits and vegetables and drink 12-15 glasses of water every day. NO to carbonated drinks, tea, coffee, juices, chocolates, sweets and pastries, spicy, salty and fatty food. Try to do these for 3 months and you can see the good result.
    I lose weight from 75 kilos to 62 kilos in 3 months. Now, I am on my 3rd year and I am maintaining my weight from 56 kilos to 58 kilos.

    You can, but you shouldn’t. You should always eat healthy, regardless of how many calories you’re eating. On less calories it can be even more important, because you want to make sure you want to get all your energy/nutritional requirements.
