If I make a fresh fruit smoothie, is it ok to save it for later?

Lisa Christine asked:

I made a bannah and strawberry smoothie with real fruit yesterday but didn’t drink it. Is it ok to drink it today?
The smoothie had:
1 bananah
2 strawberries
4 oz. strawberry yogurt
6 oz. Silk Soy milk

and I put it in the fridge.

If you freeze it , you can drink it the next day. But , smoothies taste much better fresh.

To be more specific, bananas don’t freeze well, when they defrost they go brown and a bit slimy.

I’d recommend to make yourself a fresh smoothie today.

If you kept it in the fridge or freezer, yes! It might not be as good, though. What else is in it?

From what I understand if you want the nutritional benefits of the fresh fruit juice, you need to consume it once you’ve prepared it.
